My Story

Hi! My name is Lashai.

You could say I’m a lover of golden hour, cheese platters & outdoor firepit socialising. I live near Southbrook in a little “fixer-upper” house where I’m learning to garden (mostly weeding!), making some food from scratch, looking after our border collie dogs, and bringing our vision for our little block to life.

So how I found myself here... I’m a registered nurse turned full-time photographer. I’ve always enjoyed taking photos of my Husband Ryan's business products (shameless plug *cough* Clyde Park Collections) and our border collie dogs and their puppies.

In the middle of 2021, while working as a registered nurse, I decided I would start taking photos of families and that’s when I discovered my real passion. Photographing emotion, the little moments that’ll be cherished in years to come. I’m obsessed. So... by the end of 2021, I wanted to jump in boots and all and pursue Photography full-time. So I did and I LOVE IT!

My photography style is a combination of lifestyle photography and posed photos but don’t stress, I will prompt you as little or as much as needed. My favorite sessions are golden hour sessions when the sun catches the long dead grass creating the white “fluff” and a stunning couple/family who get carried away with their own, genuine laughter and forget I’m there. Capturing those images, you can feel is my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE!
